1. Welcome Ms. Careri Math Social Studies and Science!!

A Typical Math Class Would Involve… Homework Check – Review of the previous night’s homework Whiteboards – A quick warm-up to get the students ready for the lesson Direct Instruction – Teaching of the lesson Math Aerobics – Physical learning activity to keep the kids moving and a great review of math concepts Small Groups – Students work together on completing problems to check for their understanding of the lesson Math Boxes – 6 review boxes on content learned in 4 th and 5 th grade Enrichment Activities – A challenging activity that relates to the day’s lesson Math Games – Fun games that provide practice on content learned from the lesson Homework Check – We review the homework that will be assigned for that night

3. Math Homework Usually one page from their homework book a night. Students must attempt all problems and show work. Homework is a review of what was learned in class that day. Students should be studying their facts regularly at home.
