4 Appointment Review Committee  Upon hiring a tenure-track faculty member, the College convenes an Appointment Review Committee or ARC.  The ARC engages in a rigorous 360-degree assessment of tenure-track faculty.  The formation of the ARC and the tenure review process are governed by Washington State law and by the faculty collective bargaining agreement. 4
