Round Two Answers  1959 – NDT set up by Harkavy and The Netherlands joins the European Union (EU) via its former name of European Economic Community (EEC)  1969 – Van Manen takes over Directorship with Tetley and The Netherlands was far more radical than any other country in applying the progressive philosophy of the sixties to political practice. Whether in the case of same-sex marriage, abortion,, prostitution or euthanasia, Dutch legislators were European frontrunners with their gedoogbeleid  1975 – Jiri Kylian takes over directorship and the legalization of soft drugs  1978 – NDT 2 is created and The Netherlands are Runners up in the World Cup (Excitement)  1991 – NDT 3 is created and Netherlands join the Maastricht Treaty
