3 SAO TOME & PRINCIPE The islands of Sao tome & Principe form the smallest country in Africa

4 Forests Many of Africa’s forests are being cut down to clear the land for farming, to build houses, and to provide wood for fuel.

5 Ndebele Tribe The women in the Ndebele tribe of South Africa paint the inside And outside of their Homes with simple, bright patterns.

6 Copper refinery Zambia has the world’s biggest copper refinery.

7 Victoria falls Victoria falls is in 40-mile-long canyon on the Zimbabwe/Zambia border. The water falls 355 feet.

8 Diamonds Diamonds are prized for their beauty and their hardness. Many of the world’s diamonds come from Africa, Namibia, and Botswana.

9 Gorillas Gorillas, the largest kind of ape, live in the African rain forests. Males can weigh up to 600 pounds.

10 Homes In many parts of southern and central Africa, villages are made up of circular hatched huts.

11 School In some small villages, children go to school outside under a study tree instead of in a classroom.
