3 Crash Data Definitions Reportable vs. Non-reportable Non-reportable crashes: Not in either state’s database Can be useful depending on the level of detail collected, typically not as robust as reportable data December 3 rd, 2015 How Crash Data is Collected and Analyzed Pennsylvania: fatal and injury crashes, and non-injury crashes where vehicle requires towing from the scene Reportable crashes: New Jersey: fatal and injury crashes, and non-injury crashes where officer determines that $500 damage to property has occurred
