2 “For My people are foolish, They have not known Me. They are silly children, And they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, But to do good they have no knowledge” (Jer. 4:22) Isaiah 1:3, “The ox knows its owner And the donkey its master’s crib; But Israel does not know, My people do not consider.”

3 Ignorance 17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. Ephesians 4:17-19

13  Persecution of the righteous often has its roots in not knowing God (Jn. 16:1-3)  Paul’s ignorance was the basis of his unbelief and violence  When he saw the light, his hostility ended, he obeyed (Acts 26:14-19)  Was commissioned to preach the gospel which is sufficient to turn people from darkness to light (Acts 26:18)  The gospel has transforming power if only people will open their ears to learn (Rom. 1:16; 12:2)  From unbelieving to believing (Rom. 10:17)  Persecution of the righteous often has its roots in not knowing God (Jn. 10:17)
