1 Wolves

2 Habitat Wolves lives in many different habitats. Some wolves live in very dense forests whilst others live in cold regions such as the Arctic or on mountain ranges.

3 Habitat Wolves are found all over the Northern Hemisphere in countries such as Alaska, Canada, and Asia.

4 A Wolf Pack Wolves live in family groups called packs.
A pack is made up of a mother, a father, and their baby cubs.

5 Diet A pack of wolves hunt together to catch their prey.
Wolves are carnivorous. They travel long distances to hunt large and small animals. Wolves eat mammals, birds, fish, lizards, snakes – and fruit! Refresh and define CARNIVEROUS (from last week’s learning).

6 Communicating Wolves use their howl to communicate.
A lone wolf may howl to attract attention. A pack of wolves may howl to send territorial messages to other packs.

7 Interesting Facts Wolves are very intelligent
Wolves have pointy ears and sharp pointy teeth Wolves grow up to 1 meter high
