October 23, 2015 Rewrite the scientific arguments on notebook paper. Remember the guidelines for a good CLAIM, complete uses of EVIDENCE, and SCIENCE REASONING Be prepared to peer edit and share! No homework!

1.At Table 1, you tested six solutions with universal pH paper (yellow litmus). Choose one solution to analyze. What do you think the solution is? Make a CLAIM stating what you think the solution was. Use EVIDENCE from your observations to support this claim. State a SCIENCE REASON that links your CLAIM to your EVIDENCE. 2.At Table 2, you tested six solutions with red and blue litmus paper. Two solutions were neutral. Which two do you think were the neutral solutions? Make a CLAIM stating which two. Use EVIDENCE from your observations to support this claim. State a SCIENCE REASON that links your CLAIM to your EVIDENCE. 3.Tables 3 - 6 were investigating neutralization reactions. One solution was an acid, and one was a base. Which was which, and what do you think happened when you mixed them? Choose any table to analyze (the acids and bases were in the same numbered flasks). Make a CLAIM, use EVIDENCE, and connect them with SCIENCE.
