DIRECTIONS: Name the species.
ID the species as DECIDUOUS (broad leaf) or CONIFEROUS (evergreen) If deciduous, identify each of the following characteristics: Leaf Type (simple, pinnately compound, or palmately compount) Leaf Arrangement (opposite, alternate, whorled) Leaf Shape (round, oval, elliptical, ovate, lance, linear, triangular, heart) Leaf Margin (entire, wavy, lobed, serrate, double serrate, bristle tipped & lobed-like) Leaf Veins (parallel, palmate, pinnate) Leaf Base (rounded, heart-shaped, tapering, uneven) 4. If coniferous, identify the leaf type (scale-like, needle-like with clusters, needle-like singles)
