What they say, does not add up.

Spelter West Virginia, got $360 million for clean up.

City Council voted to take less than 2 million.

City Council voted to put the clean up costs on the backs of all property owners.

City Council voted to make commercial property owners drill test wells and pay for the annual monitoring.

City Council voted to raise your electric rates 45%.

When the city saw that the electric revenues actually went down, after the Huge rate increase they took a different route.

City Council then voted to put the electric increase on the meter side, ($9.00 more dollars) plus tax.

Now just for the privilege of having electric at your house you pay $343.80 per year. $28.65 per month that’s with Zero usage.

City Council raised your sewer rates again too. Just for the privilege to flush your stool. $288.60 per year taxes not included or the water to flush it with.

We will pay an extra $50 per linear foot to replace any contaminated sewer line. It is going to cost so much that the City can not perform some of the work till 2021.

The City is planning a study on raising the utility rates to pay for the sewer. You will also pay for this study through your utility bill.

They are researching grants and loans to pay for the repairs instead of making Phelps Dodge pay for their fair share.

The City Council Recap voted to settle with Phelps Dodge, full and final release, less than 2 million.

Make you responsible for the contamination.

Voted to join in with Phelps Dodge against the citizens seeking damages for property.

Failed to bill Phelps Dodge for the extra costs associated for the contamination.

Billed the citizens instead!

How many times has any member of our City Council voted NO on anything!?
