Stance Feet slightly wider than hips; Feet parallel (No Stagger); Shoulders square; Weight centered on hips; Fingertips down; Back straight; Eyes up and straight ahead.

Snapping EVERY LINEMAN SHOULD KNOW HOW TO SNAP SNAP TO EACH QUARTERBACK…. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN! Have a “QB” (can be anyone) place his hands in the proper position to take a snap. Center reaches up with his snapping hand and shakes hands with the quarterbacks top hand. Practice this motion until it is automatic; once automatic, ADD A BALL.

Snap and Drive Block NO NEED FOR A BALL This is intended for run blocking a defensive player that is lined up directly over you. Snap the ball….. MOST IMPORTANT, FIRST AND FOREMOST! Take your 6”, 12”, 6” steps and load and fire your hands into the chest plate of the defender. Keep your pad level low; and drive up through your defender.

Snap and Drive block to the Left/Right NO NEED FOR A BALL Snap the ball Take a 6 inch step with your left foot Hands go to your holsters; and pad level should stay the same Take a 12 inch step with your right foot As you take the 12 inch step punch up and through the defender; Keep a wide base Take another 6 inch step with your left foot; bringing you back to square. Pound your feet in the ground; weight on insides of feet.

Snap and Pull NO NEED FOR A BALL This can be done in a CAG blocking scenario. Where the Guard down blocks and the center pulls up and around the guards block. Center will snap the ball take a open step with the foot to the side they are pulling to, and then cross-over with the opposite foot. Keep pad level low and eyes up to the target.

Snap and Pass Block NO NEED FOR A BALL With proper form and eyes up on your target, snap the ball to the quarterback. Take two pounding steps left, right and get your feet planted square and firm in the ground, with weight on inside of your feet. Shelf your hands at your numbers; Have a slight knee bend, and a straight back Keep your head out of the block. Be ready to kick slide to the left or right (or take on a Defensive player right in front of you).
