7. A. His tactics don’t always line up with the relationship

8. (Joh 11:5) Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
(Joh 11:1-2) Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)
(Joh 11:5) Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

9. B. His tactics don’t always line up with our expectations

10. (Joh 11:3) Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.

11. C. His tactics sometimes give a us a false sense hope

12. (Joh 11:4) When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

14. (Joh 11:6-7) When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was. Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.

(Jos 3:15-16) And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,) That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.

18. (Gal 6:9) And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

30. (Jas 1:2) My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
(Jas 1:3) Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
(Jas 1:4) But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
