Body of the letter The body: one or more paragraphs Avoid jargon Use shorter sentences rather than longer ones Avoid using the passive Be clear to the point, but don’t be too blunt

Closing Add a closing phrase: –I’m looking forward to seeing you/hearing from you soon. –Please contact me if there is anything else you need to know. –Well, I’d better be off now. See you in a couple of days!
