GPU Pass-through (1/2) Requirements: Benefits:
Plug in a monitor to NAS Local display UltraVNC Remote desktop Can be installed from the QNAP Guest Tool Benefits: Supports DirectX and OpenGL graphic APIs Increases processing power and improves display output
5
How to setup GPU (2/2)
6
Remote Desktop - QNAP Guest tools (1/3)
Built-in to the VM Driver ISO image
7
Remote Desktop - QNAP Guest tools (2/2)
Virtio Driver (compulsory) Virtual Gigabit Ethernet Virtual Disk Controller QNAP Guest agent Collects VM IP address Synchronizes the VM time Can correct the VM time after the VM is resumed UltraVNC® When the VM uses GPU passthrough, the VM needs an extra VNC server for accessing the console.

Networking mode External-only Bridged Isolated
Attaching an Ethernet interface to a Virtual Switch creates a bridged network. Isolated Not attaching any Ethernet interface to a Virtual Switch creates an isolated network. External-only Specify an Ethernet interface for a Virtual Switch to enable dedicated routing between virtual switches and external networks.

Network & Virtual Switch
11
Overview Integrates all network functions and enhances the user experience Network topology Multi-selection for port-trunking Supports Thunderbolt New feature: Virtual Switch To build a flexible and simple network environment Two modes supported: Private network and Switch mode
12
Network Topology Easily check the network status and clearly see the network topology
13
Multi-selection for port-trunking
Without the limited amounts of Ethernet connections
14
Thunderbolt Enjoy the high-speed throughout of the Thunderbolt interface
15
Virtual Switch: Private Network
It is easy to create a LAN environment by bridging your devices via NAS. DHCP Server included
16
Virtual Switch: Virtual Switch
Using uplink to connect NAS to Internet, and downlink to connect your devices.
