Committee Goal Evaluate the district’s current elementary mathematics program to ensure that all learner needs are being met.

Gap Analysis Compare updated state standards to our current curriculumstate standards Key for completing the templatetemplate X – standard secured x – standard introduced 0 – standard not addressed As you perform the gap analysis, if there is a process discussed at our March meeting that would fit with a standard, please list it in the template.

Summary April Meeting Gap analysis completed for each grade level to compare what is currently done in the district against what is required in the state standards. The groups identified interesting needs in terms of curriculum vs. text, terminology, resources and materials Discussed the difference between the written, taught and assessed curriculum

Common Core State Standards Adopted July 1, 2010 by PDE with the intent for full implementation during the 2013-2014 school year Standards define what students should understand and be able to do in mathematics and provide clear signposts along the way to the goal of college and career readiness for all students
