Needs Analysis The Digital Divide –Middle aged & the elderly people have missed out on opportunities to learn about technology –Many classes offered through businesses or colleges are too difficult for seniors & middle aged students –When these students were in school, technology classes were not offered

Problem Statement The Central Gwinnett Community (Lawrenceville, GA) does not offer the type of classes to give seniors and middle aged students the opportunity to learn technology skills.

Learners Age 40+, predominantly female Knowledge of Excel & Word is very limited Below average computer skills & little prior knowledge Psychomotor skills such as using a mouse are elementary and insufficient Visual/tactile learners Self motivated, knowledge seeking

Context Performance Context –Environment of application will vary Learning Environment –High school computer lab classroom –Computers, software, text provided –Adaptable to various work environments –Constraints, varying software versions
