WJEC Linear Exams Foundation Tier Grades C-G Higher Tier Grades A*-D Two examinations Paper 1: Non calculator Paper 2: Calculator Length: 1 ¾ hours (F) and 2 hours (H) No coursework - 100% examination CASIO scientific calculator ( Tesco -£9, Wilko - £6, WH Smith - £8)

Foundation Tier Roughly 20% on each paper will secure a G grade. Roughly 65% on each paper will secure a C grade. Higher Tier Roughly 30% on each paper will secure a C grade. Roughly 70% on each paper will secure an A grade.

November 2015 exams: Paper 1 – Wednesday 4 th November 2015 (am) Paper 2 – Tuesday 10 th November 2015 (am) Two Mock Exams (22 nd and 23 rd October) Summer 2016 exams: Two Mock Exams in December Paper 1 – Thursday 26 th May 2016 (am) Paper 2 – Thursday 9 th June 2016 (am)

Pass with a grade C - 2 options: Either… Invest the extra 6 hours per fortnight that you would gain from not going to Maths classes into other subjects to secure grades elsewhere. Or… Continue studying Higher Tier Maths and sit an exam in the Summer with a view to improve on your C grade.

Achieve grade D – G Continue studying Maths and re-sit the exam in the Summer with a view to achieve a C grade.

Every Wednesday 3-4pm with the class teacher Additional Revision Sessions during the school day – highlighted in your booklets Breakfast revision 8am on the day of the exam HALF TERM REVISION ON TUESDAY 27 TH OCTOBER (10am – 1pm)
