There is no cure out there as of now The life expectancy is late teens to mid 30’s on rarely the 40’s and 50’s. Muscular Dystrophy is treated with physical therapy, braces, and medications. By ages 1-3 you should be able to tell Trouble walking, running, and jogging Waddling

There are 8 types of muscular dystrophy Duchenne, Becker’s, congegital, Emrey-Dreifuss, Distal, Mytonoic, Facioscapulohumeral, Oculopharyngeal, limb-girdle. The most common type of Muscular dystrophy is Duchenne MD. This type can be detected during pregnancy and is found in 1 of 3000 children born. The life span of a person with Duchenne MD 20 years.
