History Livernano began its renewal in 1990, when a huge restoration of the entire estate was completed. Bob Cuillo and his Austrian wife, Gudrun, purchased the estate in 2002. They set about modernizing and restoring Livernano to its former glory. At Livernano grapes are growing respecting the environment through sustainable farming. All this for a single purpose: to achieve the best quality of grapes from this wonderful land.

Philosophy There are no efforts or expenses spared in producing the wines – combining the history and ancient grapes of Tuscany with the most modern techniques and latest knowledge. The vineyards were planted over 15 years ago, with vines specifically suited to the area’s unique soils and microclimate, at high densities, and pruning for exceptionally low yields.

Owners Robert and Gudrun Cuillo Entrepreneurs and Broadway producers Have a very “hands-on” approach They personally work the land and always participate in the harvest, handpicking and hand sorting the grapes. Their dreams of creating a world class wine was realized when Livernano received four Tre Bicchieri awards in four years from Gambero Rosso.
