2 Our Goals Help locate a sustainable source of high quality African beans

3 Our Goals Help develop long- term relationships with the farmers Pictures from previous Askinosie trips to Ecuador and Mexico

4 Our Goals Travel to Africa to meet the farmers and perform a service project in the farmers’ region Pictures from previous Askinosie trips to Ecuador and Mexico

5 Our Goals Assist Askinosie Chocolate in making their first Single- Origin African Chocolate Bar Learn about logistics – from there to here

6 Our Progress Meeting weekly with Shawn Askinosie we narrowed our country selection from all of Africa…. ….to Tanzania ….to Tanzania and Liberia and Liberia

7 Our Progress We have established connections in both countries

8 Our Progress Our service project will either be: Drilling a well in Tanzania for clean water Drilling a well in Tanzania for clean water Exploring educational options in Liberia Exploring educational options in Liberia

9 Our Progress We have established a financial plan to: Provide transportation for 18 students and 2 Central High faculty members Provide transportation for 18 students and 2 Central High faculty members Fund the service project project Fund the service project project

12 We’re learning Small business in a global economy by using Askinosie Chocolate as a second classroom

15 Our Needs We have estimated that each participant will need a minimum of $3,500 for the trip, ($70,000) which will cover: Airfare Airfare Accommodations Accommodations Food Food In-country transportation In-country transportation Our service project Our service project.

16 Your Contribution All donations made will go toward the travel expenses for the students and teacher sponsors, as well as the funding for the service project None of the money raised will pay for beans or Shawn Askinosie’s trip

17 Your Contribution Tax deductible donations should be payable to Drury University with Cocoa Honors in the memo line
