2 Broader impact statement Writing a good Broader Impact statement is more than: “A simple listing of outreach activities” “Reference to inclusion of research personnel who are members of underrepresented groups” An excellent Broader Impact Statement should include: “carefully consider ways to incorporate: rigorous meaningful innovative …broader impacts activities (e.g., broadening participation) that integrate with the research being proposed.
