His Background Born on October 10th 1930 in East London, England. Died on the 24th December 2008, aged 78. Playwright, screenwriter, director, and actor. Son of Jack and Frances Pinter; lower- middle class.

Living in the 1940s When he was young he was evacuated from London to Cornwall and Reading during World War 1. He attended school where he found a major influence in his literature career. He began writing at the age of 12, with his first publishing being in 1947 in his school’s local magazine.

His Career He began by publishing several poems and working as a professional actor. He played over 20 roles with the stage name “David Baron”. After this he decided to dedicated all his time to playwriting. He did works within radio, TV, and film throughout his career. Directing became more present in his career during the 1970s.
