On Sunday, we began our Advent journey towards Christmas Over the next four weeks we make our preparations and get ourselves ready inside to meet Jesus on Christmas Day Read the Gospel on the next slide together as a tutor group and then discuss with the person next to you what important message we are being given

3. The Gospel According to Mark (1:1-4) This is the Good News about Jesus Christ, the son of God. It began as the prophet Isiah had written: God said, “I will send my messenger ahead of you to clear the way for you.” Someone is shouting in the desert, Get the road ready for the Lord, make a straight path for him to travel

Give everyone a small piece of paper and ask them to write their name on it and fold the paper, collect them in and give everybody one of the names (Don’t let anybody know which name you get) Throughout the weeks of Advent, your job is to look out for and do something nice for that person, knowing that somewhere, there is someone doing something nice for you (Don’t make it obvious)
