The first time the Bermuda Triangle was “discovered” was in September 16, 1950. Two years later George X. Sand published a magazine covering the mysterious disappearances of several ships and planes including Flight 19.

The Bermuda Triangle is an actual geographic location. It is an area where the most ships and planes have disappeared over the past 25 years. The Bermuda Triangle is also has an enigma. An enigma is an unexplainable or puzzling situation or occurrence.

They were five TBM Avenger torpedo bombers that disappeared December 5, 1945. It was an authorized over water navigation/ training flight for the navy. They strangely disappeared without making any distress calls. Still to this day we don’t know what happen to them.

The Bermuda Triangle is off the southeast coast of the United States. The three points that the triangle extends to are Bermuda Island, Miami, Florida and San Juan, Puerto Rico. The triangle lies completely in the Atlantic Ocean.

The first belief is that the Bermuda Triangle is caused by ghosts and paranormal beings. The second is that the Triangle is a time warp. The third is a magnetic field overtop of the area of the Triangle. For the boats they believe pirates.

Another name for the Bermuda Triangle is the Devil’s Triangle.
