The most common is a training diary. Use this to record details of every training session, match or other involvement in your chosen activity. Remember to include: the day, date, time and location of the activity the content of the activity any factors affecting your performance, e.g. weather conditions, how you felt any feedback on your performance.

Details about the treatment you have received. Any feedback you have received on your performance from your coach or instructor. Any fitness tests you have undertaken (and results). Any mental training you have undertaken. Changes you have made to your diet (and whether they had an affect). Spending time ‘visualising’ a shot or match in your mind is an important tool to improve your confidence.
