Bacteria Single cell microorganism Many of them (nunnillion) They live in food, water, air, and bodies Break down molecules to digest food Good and Bad bacteria Can be treated with antibiotics Come in different shapes and sizes ( rods, spheres, and spirals) They sometimes move with cilia or flagella They Prokaryotic ( no nucleus or nuclear membrane) Can reproduce quickly Said to be the oldest form of an organism Made up of DNA A tiny particle that needs a host to live (cell or even bacteria) They are extremely small ( smaller than cells) Made up of DNA and RNA Damage or kills the cell it infects Not all viruses make you sick Pathogenic viruses make you sick Viruses can spread thru air, touch, insects, animals, and bodily fluids Viruses Both Both make you sick Small (microscopic) Good and Bad Reproduce
