Background Rosewell Youth Consultation As part of the neighbourhood planning process, the Rosewell Community Youth Leaders prepared a questionnaire to get the views on life in Rosewell for young people.... The questions asked were: 1.What do young people do in their spare time in Rosewell? 2.What are the good things about Rosewell? 3.What is not so good about Rosewell? 4.Future hopes for Rosewell? 5.If you had a Youth Space what would you like to see? There were a number of options for each question and the results are as follows.........

What do young people do in their spare time in Rosewell? A number of options were put forward and it’s refreshing to see that other than using social media outdoor activities and sports are fairly popular pastimes.

What are the good things about Rosewell? Overall the young people were quite positive about Rosewell, with it’s rural aspects and community coming out well. What is not so good about Rosewell? The lack of things to do and or transport to take them places that do have activities are the main issues raised by the young people

Future Hopes for Rosewell The young people would like to see a number of activities in the area but the common thread is that they would like more space to do things together, be it leisure or social activities
