“Processing of materials by high-concentrated generators” module presents logically completed independent part of MA course program “Energy Beam Technologies in Welding” and form necessary group of competences in accordance with graduate’s competence model in the process of mastering the range of disciplines Module includes the following disciplines: Plasma treatment of materials; Plasma technologies and equipment; Energy beam technologies and equipment in welding engineering; Theory of welding processes (parts 1 and 2); Electron-beam processing of materials. “Plasma technologies and equipment” discipline Labour intensiveness of the discipline – 108 hours (3 cu), including: 4 h. – lectures, 27 h. – practical training classes, 73 h. – independent work, credit. The goal of the discipline is the acquisition of essential knowledge of specific features, modern condition and prospects of development of plasma welding technologies and equipment, aimed at solving professional tasks in the frames of manufacturing, research and pedagogical activity. The subject matter of the discipline learning are being the following objects in the field of plasma technologies and equipment: Constricted arcs and plasma jets of low-temperature plasma. Generators of low-temperature plasma (plasmatron) of different purpose. Devices for plasma treatment of metals. Processes in zone of constricted arcs and plasma jet influence on treated material. “Energy beam technologies and equipment in welding engineering” discipline Labour intensiveness of the discipline – 144 hours (4 cu.), including: 4 h. – lectures, 27 h. – practical training classes, 75 h. – independent work, examination. The goal of the discipline is to acquire knowledge about characteristic features, modern condition and prospects of development of energy beam welding technologies aimed at professional tasks solution in the frames of manufacturing, project designing, research and pedagogical activity. “Theory of welding processes” discipline Labour intensiveness of the discipline: The 1 st part - 144 hours (4 cu.), including: 6 h. – lectures, 27 h. – practical training classes, 107 h. – independent work, credit. The 2 nd part -180 hours (5 cu.), including: 4 h. – lectures, 25 h. – Practical training classes, 109 h. – independent work, examination. The goal of the subject is the acquisition of essential knowledge of specific features, modern conditions and prospects of investigation methods’ development in the sphere of metallurgical processes at welding aimed at mastering competences initiating manufacturing, research and pedagogical activity Perm National Research Polytechnic University

The subject matter of the discipline learning are being the methods of mathematical modeling of physical-chemical processes in the welding: - dissociation of connections in welding; - parameters of vapor over alloys in conditions of fusion welding; - inter phase balance in welding bath; - solubility of gases in metals at welding; - weld joint metal alloying through the components of welding materials - diffusion processes in welding; - quantitative parameterization of structure formation in welding and relative technologies with the use of fractal approach Perm National Research Polytechnic University
