Ch12 Taking Orders Waitress : Good evening, sir. Here is our menu. Would you like something to drink before you order? Guest : Sure, mineral water, please. Waitress : Are you ready to order now, or should I come back later? Guest :Yes, I am ready. This is my first time here. Could you help me order? Waitress :No problem, sir. Would you like an appetizer? Guest : What do you have? Waitress : We have baked escargot, steamed asparagus and smoked salmon. And our baked escargot is highly recommended. Ch12 Taking Orders Guest :Sounds terrific. I’ll take that. Waitress :OK. Now, would you like to have some soup? Our tomato soup is very popular. Guest :Alright, I’ll have a try. Waitress :How about a salad? Guest :Green Salad is just fine. What types of salad dressing do you have? Waitress : We have Thousand Island, French and Italian. Guest : I’ll take Thousand Island. Waitress : And for your main dish? Guest : I want a sirloin steak. Waitress :All right. And how would you like it done? A A B B

Let me repeat your order. That’s a baked escargot, a tomato soup, a green salad, a medium sirloin steak and a chocolate brownie. Guest : That’s right. Waitress : OK, thank you very much.
