3.  The play starts off very slow.  Flavius/Marullus are killed for taking down Caesar’s statues.  There are A LOT of names that begin with the letter “C”  Soothsayer warns Caesar to “beware the Ides of March,” but Caesar does not listen.  Cassius is trying to convince Brutus to kill Caesar—so far, Brutus has said “no.”  The language between Cassius and Brutus is quite— passionate.  Casca gives birth to the phrase, “It was Greek to me!”  Caesar is offered the crown to Rome three times—each time, Caesar refuses. He eventually “faints” and offers to cut his throat to the crowd. What We Learned Yesterday!
