The main objective of usage of IST – to keep balance between stimulation of accessibility and content improvement. Proposed activities Accessibility : PIAP; Competition in communication market, computerization of schools and etc. Content on Internet: Public administration services on internet (http://www.epaslaugos.lt), ITT security and etc. http://www.epaslaugos.lt Istanbul Forum

The main goals in accessibility To rise usage of Internet from 39% to 65% in 3 years time; Istanbul Forum

To achieve that 70% of all public services until year 2008 will be provided via Internet on “ONE stop shop service” manner; Istanbul Forum To establish up to 1000 PIAP (now 360) in 1 year time; To make Internet accessibility price via mobile technologies lowest than EU average (mobile voice communication in Lithuania is lowest among EU member countries) in 3 years; To rise computer literacy in rural Lithuania areas (to teach up to 30% of adult population). Special training programs for teachers and computer literacy education trainers. Distance studies; Broad band infrastructure until year 2008; To reach number of schools computerization up to 1 computer for 5 pupils. The main goal in Content improvement
