4. 4 What is NTS? Provides a means of identifying and tracking noncombatant evacuees (NCEs) as they move through evacuation process. Using commercial off the shelf (COTS) scanner equipment, NTS collects personal information from identification documents (military ID cards, dependent ID cards, civilian passports, driver’s licenses, or other identification documents that meet current International Organization for Standardization (ISO) or DoD standards. Provides real time reports and queries at the Local Server and on the NTS website.

8. 8 NTS Software Installation Note: “Administrator” access required to perform this task. Software updates must be performed quarterly. To install NTS software: 1.Insert NTS Software Update CD into CD drive of laptop in Local Server Deployable Case. Note: Lift laptop from case to access the CD\DVD drive and insert CD. If CD drive is listed first on “Boot Up” sequence, CD will automatically install new software Program will take about an hour to complete.
