During this Lesson we are going to: Define- “What is a System?” Investigate- “What components make up a System.” Explore- “Different types of Systems.”

What is a System? Technology- Is the use of scientific knowledge to turn resources into goods and services that society needs and wants. System- A group of interrelated parts that work together to produce a desired result.

– Input represents the resource that will be transformed to the output. – Resources-is any type of supply, service, or support. – Requirements-are the features that define the performance of a system. – Process- a series of steps by which resources are changed into desired products. – Output- Output represents the desired result, outcome, or goal. – Control-is a device that is used to adjust the operation of the system. – Feedback- is information about the output of a system that can be used to adjust it.
