3 STROBOSCOPIC  In 1872 this instrument was used like an optical illusion to make things look slower than they appear. This worked by interrupting the viewers vision so that the object could only be seen in intervals. 4 THE HORSE IN MOTION  In 1878 Edward Muybridge took a series of pictures to solve a mystery. 16 VIDEO TAPE RECORDER  Charles P.
