2. Big Question:
What will happen when a green bean seed is watered with Monster energy drink, vitamin water, or tap water?

3. Hypothesis:
If a green bean plant is grown with monster energy drink or vitamin water, then it will grow more than a green bean plant with tap water. It will grow more because monster and vitamin water have more sugar than tap water.

4. Interesting Facts: The tap water seed got moldy.
The vitamin water seed got really moldy.
The Monster did not mold at all.
Monster energy has more calories per serving than vitamin water.
Monster energy also has more grams of sugar.
Vitamin water contains more vitamins than Monster energy.

Green bean seeds
Ziploc bags (sandwich size)
Paper towel

6. My Experiment: Procedures-
Start the seeds in wet (monster, vitamin water (orange) or tap water) paper towel in a sandwich bags.
Take observations.
Water plant regularly following planting instructions and checking moisture, water plants uniformly using appropriate liquid amounts.
Take daily measurements.
Repeat watering and taking of measurements as needed.
Water plants.
Plot data and analyze the results

7. My Experiment: Control Group
All the seeds were from the same seed packet.
I used water to attempt to germinate all seed plants.
Paper towel and Ziploc bags.
I placed all the seeds in the paper towel the same way.

Visual observation, towel is damp and there is little excess liquid.

No growth yet, the seeds seem to have swelled.

The seeds feel soft and have soaked up water.

The seeds have soaked up the water, but, mold has grown on the paper towels of the tap water and vitamin water.

Mold has grown since I have last checked and has begun to smell.

11. Analysis of Data:
The experiment has tested my hypothesis, but, it did not turn out the way I expected.
I know the experiment tested my hypothesis because I grew the seeds with all three liquids and got a conclusion for all three liquids.

12. Conclusion:
My hypothesis was undetermined and can be retested because the monster did not mold or grow.
I would change my experiment to grow the beans in a different environment, because they did not get enough sunlight or oxygen.
My new Question is, would they have sprouted in soil better than in a towel and a Ziploc bag?
