In this lesson we will learn the meaning of and use of a text box.
2
What is a text box? A text box is a box that is made with the mouse by clicking and dragging across a part of the page. It designates where on the page you want to place your information.
3
When you use a text box the type just remains where you made the box. When you type across the page, as we do when typing an essay, you do not have control over where the type will be. What is the difference between a text box and just typing on the page. A text box can be any place on the page. When typing without a text box the letters spread from margin to margin. You chose the kind of alignment, left, center, right, justified.
