Warm-Up In aerial ski competitions, athletes perform two acrobatic ski jumps, and the scores on both jumps are added together. Your competitor’s scores on his two jumps were 127.04 and 129.98. Your first score was 129.94. Write and solve an inequality to find the scores that you can earn with your second jump to be victorious.

Solving inequalities using addition and subtraction We solve inequalities using the same processes we would use for an equation. Isolate the variable by using the inverse operation. If you multiply or divide by a negative, you must flip the inequality sign Note: Mixed numbers must be written as improper fractions
