P Procedure Do the research first Verify the part is correct for your application, then check it again! Read the data sheets. Prototyping for research is fine, but don’t blow your whole budget on bad purchases Find an approved supplier who has a good price and satisfactory availability REMEMBER: no state sales tax will be paid, so ensure that it is not included in your final price.

P Procedure (continued) Complete a SD Support Ticket (link is available on the class Website)SD Support Ticket Include a complete description of the part and other required info: qty, cost, etc. Don’t forget shipping and handling charges. Include the link to the cart item Make sure you direct the ticket to me and your section (“Category” selection box) I will make the purchase, update the ticket status and specify pick-up/delivery actions when I receive your part(s).

P Suggested/Preferred Vendors Printed Circuit Boards: Advanced Circuits (4pcb.com) - single/small quantity circuit boards at student pricing Special/Miscellaneous: Amazon - computer and miscellaneous parts Pololu - h-bridges, etc. A Main Hobbies (servos, specialty robotics parts, etc.) Probotix (robotics components, stepper motors, etc.) eBay (general parts - with reputable source)
