6  Designed to provide students with the opportunity to explore technology in a multi-activity learning environment using various software: -i-Movie -Authorware -Photoshop Elements-Dreamweaver -Illustrator -Even More Contraptions -Tabletop-Flash -AutoCAD LT -Excel 6 Broad Based Technology 10

7  If passed, 1 credit towards graduation will be granted.  A hands-on course that develops skills in the areas of basic cabinet making, plumbing, crack filling, electrical and mechanical work and the proper use of hand and power tools. This course will enable students to gain experience and confidence in practical areas they can use for the rest of their lives. 7 Introduction to Applied Technology 110

8  Offer students an opportunity to develop technical and performance skills in:  Choral (voice)  Instrumental (wind or percussion)  Keyboard  Guitar Prerequisite for Music 112 (Choral; Guitar; Instrumental; Keyboarding) 8 Music 10

9  Designed to cover a variety of media, both 3-D and 2-D as well as art history and theory experienced through art projects. Students will explore each of the following types of media:  Sculpture 3-D (clay, papier mache)  Drawing 2-D design (perspective, tone/shading, drawing from observation)  Painting 2-D design (water colour, colour theory, landscapes, ½ portraits, still life) Prerequisite for Graphic Arts 110 and Visual Arts 110 *Arts Enrichment Program-Application Required 9 Visual Arts 10

10  Designed to introduce teenagers to lifetime fitness activities. Activities are divided into 3-week units, with an emphasis being placed on effort and interest, rather than athletic ability. Depending on the semester, activities may differ.  Activities offered include: -Weight training, anaerobic/aerobic exercise -Badminton -Basketball -Volleyball -Soccer -Softball -Orienteering Prerequisite for Outdoor Pursuits 110 & Physical Education Leadership 120 * Enrichment Program-Application Required 10 Health & Physical Education 10

11  Any course not passed must be repeated in Summer School (if available) Or in Grade 11 11
