Rectangles What is a rectangle by definition?
A Quadrilateral with four right angles. Why is every rectangle a parallelogram? Because both pairs of opp. angles are

RHOMBUS What is a rhombus? A Quadrilateral with four congruent sides.

SQUARE What is a square? A Quadrilateral with four right angles and four congruent sides. Why are all squares parallelograms? Because both pairs of opp. sides AND/OR angles are

Diagonals! All diagonals of a rectangle are congruent.
The diagonals of a rhombus are perpendicular. Each diagonal of a rhombus bisects two angles of the rhombus.
