6 About Addresses - Some addresses are obvious but: Every member needs a registered ‘Ballot Address’ – It can be a Home or Workplace Address; Every member has a ‘Workplace Address’ – the address of their workplace as recorded in Commix; ‘Distribution Address’ - Is intended to allow Activists to add details such as “Union Room, 3 rd Floor” to the address of the building where they work; ‘Publishable Address’ – Is for Activists and populates the fields other members might see about you in their iM & in Directories; ‘Payment Address’ – Is where PCS Finance Dept last sent a ‘cheque’. Address Types (& emails )

10 What can Members Change? Ordinary & Associate Members Can view the information Commix holds about them, including their Subscriptions and Activities/Positions as well as edit their own:- Personal details, Ballot Address (there are further addresses if you are an activist), Death Benefit Nominee, Equality Data, Work Details, Add Addresses (this is particularly for activists).

11 What Branch Activists can View All Branch level activists can view information about their Branch and the workplaces within it. Branch Executive Committee Officers & Members; Workplace details; Workplace Activists; Branch statistics by Employer, Region and Workplace.

16 Four Main Branch Officers Access Branch Secretary, Chair, Organiser & Treasurer have additional features: - Access to Membership Reports; The Secretary can extend update responsibility; Those with update responsibility can add or delete Branch officials.

18 Other Reports About my Branch The core commix system within PCS offices has access to range of other standard reports about groups, regions and branches. These are primarily to assist PCS staff in their work but may help branches in particular tasks. Alternatively, your branch may seek a bespoke report to help you deal with a problem or branch issue. You can discuss your requirements with the membership department at PCS HQ who can help and advise you.
