Bus Rapid Transit Definition Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is best explained as the simulation of rail transit using bus technology. Key components are: high frequency bus service along the Corridor, enhanced amenities such as aesthetic street furniture and landscaping, technology treatments to make the service “rapid” and appropriate marketing campaigns

Lancaster Components for this Project Six-mile Corridor 2,400 daily passenger boardings Current service features 15-minute frequencies (similar to light rail frequency) High levels of pedestrian activity Corridor contains a mix of commercial and retail establishments adjacent to residential areas
