1 ASL 1-2 Objectives Monday, 8/29: –Ask at least 5 questions usingand respond to at least 5 questions with a complete sentence –Sign at least 8 different signs that need various facial expressions –Use correct facial expression while signing 3 brief comments Daily Objectives – Write objectives on your daily log. 2 ASL 1-2 Objectives Tuesday, 8/30: –Sign and recognize the numbers 1-10 –Use at least 3 NMS to negate the meaning of a sign or signed sentence –Sign a dialogue with: 1.Greetings 2.Questions/answers 3.Farewells Daily Objectives – 1.Write objectives on your daily log. 3 ASL 1-2 Objectives Wednesday, 8/31: –Demonstrate basic handshape rules by writing your name & class period in SignWriting –Describe 3 important facts about how ASL has been viewed historically and now –Give at least 2 examples of how ASL is different than English –Show that you understand Deaf norms by role-playing examples of appropriate and inappropriate behavior around Deaf people: Get someone’s attention Signing or other visual communication Daily Objectives – 1.Write objectives on your daily log. 4 ASL 1-2 Objectives Thursday, 9/1: –Watch “Love is Never Silent” and identify at least 3 attitudes towards deafness in the early part of the 20 th century that are different than the general view on deafness now.
