11 HousingPrograms Housing Programs Ensure rural community members have access to safe, well built, affordable homes. Funds can be used to build, renovate or repair a home Fiscal Year 2014-over $800 million invested in rural Texas Over 6,700 families became homeowners Rural Housing Guaranteed Loans Rural Housing Direct Loans Housing Repair Loans & Grants Multi-Family Housing Guaranteed Loans Multi-Family Rental Assistance Housing Preservation Grants

12 Housing Programs 100% financing for new and existing homes Guaranteed Home Loans –Work with local lenders –No monthly mortgage insurance –No maximum purchase price Direct Home Loans –Work with Rural Development –Low and very low income limits –Fixed below market interest rates Not just for first time homebuyers

13 Housing Programs Home Repair Loans –Very low income limits –$20,000 loan limit –1% interest for 20 years Home Repair Grants –$7,500 lifetime limit –At least 62 and unable to repay a 1% loan –Repairs for health, safety and accessibility Available for owner occupied homes
