Terms to Know Murder – killing with deliberate intent to kill 1 st degree – premeditation 2 nd degree – sudden intent to kill or cause injury without caring if the injury kills Manslaughter – killing without intention Voluntary – sudden impulse Involuntary – not expecting to cause great harm

Terms to Know Assault – threat to inflict injury Battery – physical violence Larceny – obtaining property by deceit Burglary – illegal entry with intent to steal Robbery – Taking another’s property by force or fear
