3 Class Rules 1. Follow directions quickly! 2. Raise your hand for permission to speak. 3. Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat. 4. Make smart choices! 5. Keep your dear teacher happy!

4 When You Are Finished With Your Work You Should: 1. Check your work. 2. Finish un-finished work. 3. Read. 4. Get an Early Finisher Paper. 5. Write a letter. 6. Draw. 7. Ask Mrs. Brown if you can help!

5 The classroom should be a peaceful place to work. Behavior Norms Follow the Golden Rule: Treat others the way you want to be treated. Quiet when another person is talking. Keep hands feet and objects to self. Stay on task. Listen to teacher directions the first time. Use 6 inch voice (inside voice) Clear drinks only. Hang up backpack. Keep desk neat and tidy.

6 Have Fun Outside Outside is the place to safely: play, socialize with friends, use outside voices, and release energy.

7 CONSEQUENCES Positive Consequences Praise Increase In Grades Class Parties Prize Box Tiger Paws Tiger Eyes Doodle Buddy Time Negative Consequences Warning Decrease in grades Loss of iPod privilege Loss of recess Call home

8 Lining Up Eyes Up Front Voices Off Hands, Feet and Objects To Self Listen To Directions

9 Entering the Classroom  Enter quietly.  Put away backpacks.  Move clothes pin.  Copy routine on board.  Put homework and planner out.  Do morning work.  If finished, read or do a challenge sheet.  Leave quietly.

10 BATHROOM USE Use bathroom (and get a drink) during non- teaching time. Use bathroom signal and no voice to request to go to the bathroom. One boy and one girl at a time. Go during recess. Leave the room quietly. Walk in the hallway. Return to class quietly.

11 iPod Use Handle iPod with clean hands. Take out iPod when called by number. Handle iPod gently. Turn on iPod. Use directed apps only! Check in when told. iPods are a privilege. “Misuse and lose!”

12 Have Fun and Be Successful… The choice is yours: Choose having fun, being engaged, learning for the future, and being successful. We can have a great year. Go Flying Gummy Bears!
