5 Hertfordshire County Council www.hertsdirect.org The Outline Business Case Due for submission on 23 rd July after Cabinet approval on 21 st July –At this stage still under development Develop the plans for educational transformation into reality. Relates to corporate and CYPP objectives Sets out how the educational estate will be developed Sets out costs Affordability – funding streams (including negotiating abnormals) Identifies risks and strategies for dealing with them. Proposals for working arrangements with the LEP Timetable Strategy for leading and managing the change.

Strategic Overview  Increase emphasis placed on Francis Combe as first Hertfordshire academy Key Estates Priorities  Rewrite with extra emphasis placed on Francis Combe Section 3 Option Analysis and Feasibility  Rewrite to include extra emphasis on educational transformation, ICT and curriculum modelling Sample Schools  Rewrite with more emphasis on education and learning and SEN Sections 4 + 5  Some work from PWC now arrived Section 7  Rewrite with more emphasis on education and learning and impact upon the classroom.

Nobel, Barnwell, John Henry Newman, Barclay, Greenside, Valley all traditional design and build. Mixed new build, refurbishment and extensive remodelling. Thomas Alleyne School new build on new site at Great Ashby - a PFI scheme

Solutions –Great Ashby –Bragbury End –Good provision  Sports halls,  Dance studios  All weather pitches and ‘mugas’,  Climbing walls,  Swimming pool.
