Nonverbal Communication Communication that is understood through sending and receiving wordless messages.

What are some examples of nonverbal communication or cues?

Examples: Eye contact – rolling your eyes, raising your eyebrows Body language – crossing your legs or arms, fidgeting Facial Expressions – frown, smile, wink, etc. Gestures – pointing, waving, etc.

Verbal Communication Is expressing an idea or a thought through words, or verbally.

What are some examples of verbal communication?

Examples of verbal: The sound of your voice – for ex: if you are nervous your voice might be shakey Your clarity – How specific and clear you are Knowing how to incorporate breath with words – Using full lung capacity will support the voice to become richer, fuller, and stronger. Volume – speaking loud enough for all to hear with confidence
