What are the “right things” that a PLT should do to improve student learning? Use results to motivate students Create and implement a systematic intervention plan Identify gaps or overlaps in curriculum Engage in a collective inquiry Identify “power” standards – get crystal clear on what students should learn Create and implement a student learning monitoring plan

Develop team SMART goals(s) and action plans. As you develop goals(s) and plans, consider the four critical questions of PLTs – What do we want our students to learn? – How will we know if each student has learned? – How will we respond when some students do not learn? – How can we extend and enrich the learning for students who have demonstrated proficiency?
