2. DEFINITION
A preposition is a word which shows the relationship of a noun or a pronoun with another word in a sentence. The word preposition means ‘’that which is placed before’’
Eg.
There are four eggs in the basket.
The dog barks at the boy.
I bought the pen for Rs 10.
The Policeman is on duty.
I was talking with my friend.
The sky is above us.

at, on, in
at - is used with a specific house, place of residence, building, a village or a small town. eg
at 57 Nehru Nagar
at Abohar
at Army School
at the Railway Station
on - is used to say that something is resting on/in contact with a surface, eg
He sits on the stool
The picture is hanging on the wall.
